This private reference site operates independently of every government office. It does not store official records, submit filings, retrieve criminal files, or perform official checks.

Its content routes readers to Buchanan County court clerks, the Sheriff's Office, the Virginia State Police Central Criminal Records Exchange, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Virginia Code § 19.2-389 limits CCRE dissemination to authorized persons and purposes. The site also connects readers with outside tools that may assist research.
